 Minister urges cultural attachés to maintain open door policy with students

 during inauguration of 3rd scholarship students forum

Dr. Khalid ibn Mohammad Al Anqari, the Minister of Higher Education, opened the 3rd forum for the Saudi cultural attachés.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Al Anqari underlined the importance of enhancing contacts with the students who are on scholarships and providing them with all possible facilities.
He urged the Cultural Attaches to work for giving a good impression about the higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al Anqari reiterated the importance of applying the unified electronic system for offices of the Cultural Attaches.  Later, Dr. Ali Atiyyah, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, reviewed with the cultural attachés issues of mutual interest.

The participants of the meeting, which will conclude tomorrow, will review a number of social and legal affairs pertaining to the students on scholarships in addition to the administrative and financial obstacles.

It is worth mentioning that the number of Saudi students on foreign scholarships amounts to 80,000 in addition to those who accompany them.  The ministry provides travel tickets, tuition and health insurance in addition to the monthly stipends to scholarship students.
