His Excellency Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid ibn Mohammad Al Anqari hailed the national budget of the new fiscal year of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Minister Al Anqari stressed that such large budget figures are actually good omens of the fruitful national development witnessed in the Kingdom at many fields including higher education, this comes under leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Crown Prince may Allah save them.

Careful reading of budget allocations would conclude that education, at all levels, is at highest priority for King Abdullah ibn Abdulaziz, Minister Al Anqari pointed.  Budget appropriated 24 percent to education in general and this covers higher education system and institutions.  In addition to the generous support for the projects and programs conducted by ministry, ample budgets were allocated for all Saudi universities to carry on their work and continue building up of infrastructure, in order to help achieve the desired positive results for the country and citizens.

Minister of Higher Education stressed that ministry allocations at this fiscal year have included allocations for finalizing the constructions of premises and university campuses around the regions and governorates of the Kingdom, including works at educational hospitals  and faculty housing complexes and the construction of emerging universities' infrastructure facilities.  Also continued are funds for King Abdullah foreign scholarship program and funding of academic research.  His Excellency Minister expressed his pleasure for the endorsement of a budget for Saudi electronic university after a noble approval for the establishment of the university.

Minister Al Anqari concluded his statement by extending thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Naif ibn Abdulaziz may Allah save them, on the support and patronage for higher education institutions.  Minister stressed that such generous funding for higher education at the national budget will motivate ministry and universities to pursue their ambitions and achieve leadership directives to serve best the country and the citizen.​
