National Center for Assessment in Higher Education

On the nineteenth of Jumada I, 1421, The High decree No. 471 / 8 was issued approving on the resolution of the Higher Education Council, supported by the decision of the Cabinet which contains :

1. Among the requirements of university admission, there must be tests which their results will be a standard in addition to the standard of secondary education. This test may be conducted according to the following:
A – A test to measure the capabilities, skills and attitudes of students.
B -  Tests for measuring educational attainment. These are standardized tests for specializations falling under the same quality.
2. The test is allowed to be repeated more than once per year.
3. The establishment of an independent administrative and financial centre called " The National Center for Assessment in Higher Education"
4. A sum of money is collected, commensurate with the cost of holding these tests, to cover the operating expenses of the center and the research and development necessary to do so.

The mission of the center is represented in: the pursuit to achieve justice and equal opportunities in higher education, and contribute to raising the efficiency of its institutions based on a sound scientific basis.

The activation of this message is done through :
  1. Performing and holding tests for admission to various institutions of higher education
  2. Working on developing educational assessment means at all levels of higher education
  3. Measuring of educational achievement indicators; to raise the efficiency of higher education institutions
  4. Attracting expertise in various areas of interest to the Center
  5. The provision of advisory services for assessment centers in various educational institutions
  6. Performing studies and specialized researches in the field of educational measurement
  7. Disseminating the culture of "assessment and evaluation" and deepening this culture at the educational and social levels
