Ministry of higher Education dedicate 29 million SR for universities' academic bodies development 
Dr.  Abdullah O'hally, Deputy Minster for academic affairs disclosed that his Excellency Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, budgeted twenty nine million Saudi Riyals for the creativity and differentiation development projects in local universities. These projects will be carried out for the second year and contains a set of training and skills development for academics staff in Saudi universities; this includes various topics such as contemporary teaching methodologies, e-education, in addition to facilitate exposure to recent global knowledge trends and researches.
 
Dr. O'hally mentioned that ministry had developed a unified specification template to collect universities' training needs; Saudi universities recommended 180 Different training programs where only 110 programs were short listed and presented to a special committee after ignoring incompliant proposed training courses.
MOHE has so far approved 41 training programs to be conducted in nine existing Saudi universities and four newly established ones. He added that topics included e-education, e-publishing, internet based education, basic and advanced teaching skills, quantitative researching and statistical analysis, evaluation skills and designing exams, communication skills, strategic management and Academic leadership skills, knowledge engineering skills, and last but not least quality management and implementation.
He added that MOHE classified a set of key criterions to assure effective benefiting of the courses on top of it, courses should include a wide category of universities academics (males & females); programs should reasonably enhance academic and research skills, also should support any existing development projects inside universities.  
MOHE have already collected information about expected individuals to benefit from coming training programs where it encouraged universities to establish their own academic development and quality centers. He added that MOHE is encouraging continuous training culture in Saudi universities and willing to finance any pertaining initiatives. It is expected that universities will establish creativity and differentiation centers to utilize this training endeavor.  
MOHE already started contacts with highly profiled academic firms in order to share experiences with peer academics in these leading firms. In the same time, MOHE had already contracted some international firms who already started its development programs; these programs will be continued over the current academic year.
He said that ministry dedicated 2.3 Million SR for Riyadh Females university which includes 16 different programs intended for academics in various levels; Dr. O'hally added that international universities were associated with well known consulting firms to assure high quality training materials and instructors.
