Objective :‎

Developing plans, programs, rules and regulations governing the relations of the university in various fields

Duties :

1. Administrative and technical supervision on university relations management and conferences and symposia ‎management, in order to achieve their objectives efficiently and effectively
2. Studying the plans and the programs organizing the departments associated with them
3. Examining the difficulties and problems encountered in the functioning of the administrative units to which they relate, and working to overcome and solve them
4. Proposing procedures for the development of the university relations and submitting them to deputy minister for education
5. The development of communication and coordination between the Ministry and the universities in Saudi Arabia
6. Developing and coordinating communications between Saudi universities and international universities, and inviting universities to participate
7. Preparing of periodic reports on the work and the activities of general department in addition to its achievements and its branches and submitting them to deputy minister for education
